| Once, he was a harried businessman who put his career and appointments before his family. Supposedly late for a board meeting while simultaneously transporting his wife and daughters, he hurriedly sent them on a subway train to save time. The train later crashed and killed all aboard. The impersonality of their departure drove him into a deep despair. While recuperating in an asylum, he observed the spiders in his cell and marveled at their incredible unrelenting patience towards building webs and awaiting prey. Once out for good behavior, he began his own cult towards spiders and took the name Lycosus (after a genus of spider). Over a thousand strong, his Spider Cult infests both communities and corporations and hundreds of innocent people were sacrificed at his order. On the eve of his first AMPUTHEATRE contest, Lycosus prayed for deliverance, though he technically had no deity who would hear. Some dark power answered however, because the following morning he awoke to find his hands had been transformed into enormous, obedient wolf spiders. | |||||||||

Lycosus’ arcane powers of suggestion give him the highest Resist score of all of AMPUTHEATRE’s Slashers, while his spider-hands grant him both mobility and reach. He can effortlessly Throw and Poison his opponents even before binding them in webbing, and if he ever gets Sundered, his living arms crawl back to him. |
